Mr. Pasic taught Basics of Architecture (1999), Spatial Planning (2000), Theory and History of Architecture and Preservation of Architectural Heritage (2009). He is currently engaged at the University of Sarajevo as a professor and head of doctoral studies with the Faculty of Architecture, as well as the manager of the Center for the construction of the campus. Mr. Pasic taught at more than 30 universities around the world. Some of them are: Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul; Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul; Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, the Royal Polytechnic Institute in Stockholm, York University, UK; La Sapienza University Rome, Alcala de Hennares University Madrid, Yale University, Cornell University, King Saud University, Riyadh; KSA and others. Since 1993 until 2016, he manages the Department of Architecture in the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) in Istanbul, and he is a program-coordinator for international projects: "Mostar 2004" (1994-2004); Al-Quds/Jerusalem 2015, and the educational program "Islamic Urban Heritage" (since 2006). He is currently engaged as the consultant with this center. Mr. Pasic is a member of ICOMOS ad hoc workgroup (30 academics from 22 states) related to the foundation of the ICOMOS university forum. He was the member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Commission for UNESCO until 2016. He worked as the leading consultant for Aga Khan Trust for Culture, Geneva (1995-2006); the World Monuments Fund, New York (1998-2004) and carried out several missions for ICOMOS Paris. As an architect / planner, he was the project manager for development of four major master plans in the field of conservation of architectural heritage, and a large number of architectural projects, mainly related to restoration tasks. Mr. Pasic was assigned six awards for architecture, including Aga Khan Award for architecture in 1986 for successful restoration of the Old Bridge in Mostar. Throughout ten years he was a coordinator of activities for reconstruction of that town, which was devastated during the war from 1992 to 1995. He wrote 21 books and 47 articles, and he is also the author of the Nomination Dossier for the inscription of the Old Bridge zone in the Old Town in Mostar to the UNESCO World Heritage List for 2005. Mr. Pasic is a regional editor for Arab countries for “Journal of Cultural Management and Sustainable Development” London.
