Faruk Kapidzic, graduated engineer of architecture, born in Sarajevo in 1971. He participated in 20 competitions, of which several were first prizes, and some of them were later constructed (Olympic Swimming pool Otoka in Sarajevo, Islamic Center in Zenica). Winner of the Idea Award at the annual Colegium Artisticum exhibitions (2003 and 2005), and winner of the 2006 Grand Prix for Architecture. In February 2004, together with his father Ahmet Kapidzic, he was nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the reconstruction and revitalization of the war-devastated building of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo. In the period from 2003 to 2009, he worked as an assistant - external associate at the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo on the subject of public buildings with Professor Kika Karic. Since 2012, owner and director of ADS studio company. From March 2020 to January 2021, he performed the function of the Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in the Government of the Sarajevo Canton. From 1996 to 2020 he worked on the following projects in the field of reconstruction, revitalization, renovation and redesign: Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo / nomination for the Aga Khan Award; Church of St. Mary and the tower of St. Luka in Jajce; Klek Mosque in Klek - Rama Window; The Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo; Vrbanjusa Mosque in Sarajevo and Sasa Mosque - Srebrenica. Married, father of three children.
